現時美國以超級英雄漫畫改篇的電視劇集愈來愈多，例如DC系的Arrow、Flash、Supergirl及新推出的Black Lightning；
Marvel系的則更多，先有與Netflix合作的Daredevil、Jessica Jones等The Defenders系列，亦有與ABC自家播放的Marvel Agents of Shield同新近推出的Inhumans。
不同於在電影上，Marvel長期較DC有更好的票房；在電視世界，Marvel與DC可謂平分秋色。問題係在現時的Peak TV年代，超級英雄材的興盛令這類電視劇集如雨後春筍；但事實是美國電視業整體都出現收視下滑的問題，例如Supergirl的收看人數由第一季的240萬（50歳以下），減至最新一季（第三季）的119萬。而新推出的Inhumans收視亦頗不理想，只有150萬50歳以下成年觀眾。
