Recode引述消息人士指，目前Google無意出價收購Twitter，消息令twitter股價在收市後交易時段急跌近10%。
路透消息則指出，Twitter已向潛在收購人士表明，希望在10月27日公佈第三季業績時，可以總結收購的事宜。如消息屬實，就可見Twitter在收購一事上相當務進，因傳出考慮賣盤亦不過早兩星期的事，要在本月底完成基本談判是相當急速的時間表。
而至今早，Recode繼續有消息人士提供資料，今次引述消息指迪士尼方面考慮過收購詳請後，亦決定不會向Twitter提出收購。這為日內Recode繼Google、Apple後列出的第三間否決收購Twitter的企業，而目前相信只有Saleforce仍對收購Twitter有興趣。
